I like beer. No need to beat around the bush. I may turn a sheen of crimson because I fail to keep a supply of Pepcid AC with me at all times, but I like Beer. It seems like a seasonal drink to me however, primarily for summer consumption primarily cause I'm too damn lazy to leave my house in the winter. But this year, it may change as for this week there are two awesome events taking place:
1. Down at Gordon Biersch Seattle at Pacific Place on Jan 13 and 14 (5-7pm), the Kauai Visitors Bureau is giving away a trip to Kauai care of Hawaiian Airlines and Castle Resorts Hotels. Some delicious foods on the menu: Guava Mango Ribs, Macadamia Nut Mahi Bites, Kahlua Pork Sliders, and Poke. Very ono (yummy)! I think I'd like to go on Thursday.
2. Also taking place is the Stinky Spoke Bike Race starting from the Redhook Brewery. 16 mile short mountain bike race where you collect cards from the poker card stations to build your best hand. Goodies include a beanie, pint glass, and a beer courtesy of Redhook. (of course). Register online for $30 or at the door for $40.
